#AskTheExpert Hi Dr. My son hasn't passed motion since 2 days... He is not showing any signs of discomfort but it's worrying me. Do let me know what can be done. Should i bring changes to my diet plan for the same? Thank you Dr.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also.
it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day.
if the consistenfcy of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour (the colour can range from yellow brown green to black) of the stool.
also straining while passing urine and stool is normal.
Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes
