#AskTheExpert Hi Dr, My baby is going to be 4 month old, Since yesterday afternoon he is having feaver 99 97 98 and coughing in every couple of hours. Please advise. Thank you

This can occurs due to weather changes and temperature variations or simple cold and rarely infection. kindly give nasal saline drops (nasoclear /nasivion s)every three hourly and since it is a salt water/saline water it does not have any side effects and can be given again and again for nasal blockage and respiratory cough. It will dissolve mucus in nose and throat.f For fever and pain give paracetamol Try to prevent temperature variations around the child and you ccan also give indirect steam inhalation and if there is no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. 1. Eucalyptus Oil for fever and cough. If your child is less than 2 years of age, pour a few drops of eucalyptus oil on her pillow and the bedrolls. It will open her nostrils and provide instant relief. You can also pour a few drops of eucalyptus oil on your child’s clothing. Always remember that if your child is too young, don’t massage the oil on her throat
