#AskTheExpert hi dr. I'm 23 weeks pregnant and recently went through fetal echo. the radiologist told me about tiny mascular vsd. she said not to worry as it will disappear soon. is it anything to be bothered about??

A. depending on size of vsd. see only the doctor who can see you in person can judge what is the right status. best to trust heryou have to do a few more tests and a scan after a local doctor advice for proper treatment

A. In most kids, a small defect will close on its own without surgery. Some might not close, but they won't get any larger. Kids with small VSDs usually don't need to restrict their activities.
