#asktheexpert Hi Dr I and 34 wks pregnant and I have been detected with UTI 2 wks ago. I have been taking Cital syrup thrice a day and nitrofurantoin but still infection is there it is not going so wanted to ask if this will affect baby?? is there any serious issue ??

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist1 Year agoA. If it is a very mild infection, then it should not impact your pregnancy in anyway, but if it is a very severe one, then, it can cause premature labor. If it is asymptomatic then don’t worry
