#AskTheExpert Hi Doctor, Wanted to know if any risk involved in giving warm boiled water (few teaspoons) to a 5 month old

A. please give only breastmilk till completion of six months.. after that you can start with other liquids. be very slow in weaning your child. avoid cow milk and honey before age of one

A. There Is no risk giving water to the child of course water is water is safe and you are anyway is boiling it but it is not recommended to be given at the age of five months because the feeling that you give to the child has sufficient water into it which is why it is not recommended to give water otherwise it does not have a side-effect
