#AskTheExpert Hi Doctor Some days after taking BCG vaccine, my baby baby developed this swelling like thing. It’s almost 2 months. What should be done

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. that is totally normal and you can expect the BCG vaccination scar development gradually fullstop usually no treatment is required if the child is not having any pain but you can give paracetamol for pain and if it is increasing in size then just get the child exam in ones with the doctor

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr old girl4 years agoA. If there is fever give paracetamol as prescribed by your doctor. see that if there is a pain and little swelling, give a hot compress to baby. Soak a cotton cloth in hot water squeeze it and gently press on injected area. Ensure wzye risnt too hot. Also cold compress czn help baby relax. If there is heavy swelling or puss or heavy redness then immediately you should see your doctor.
