#AskTheExpert hi doctor,My wife is in pregnanton 8th month and she is having hypothyroidism from 4th month so doctor advised to take tyroid tablet on every day ,Last month tyroid report shown lower level 3.2 but still she is taking 50mg tablet whether it is correct dosage of tablet for tyroid at these stage ? here in my local consulting one doctor said it is ok and another doctor said we should increase 62.5 mg which one I can believe pls suggest

A. it is important to keep the TSH level lowest during pregnancy. if there is no relief it is advisable to see the doctor for proper examination if there is need for proper investigations also both for diagnosis and treatment
