#asktheexpert Hi Doctor. My son is 2 years old. He is having hiccups throughout the day upto 4 to 5 times and again it's repeating for one week or three weeks. Can I know the reason for this?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. hiccups in big children usually occur due to excessive laughing, belching, acidity as well as gas in the stomach and intestine of the child.z
it is important to give plenty of water to drink as well as easily digestible food made at home.
diversion of the child also helps.
it is self limitizng problem and will decrease but if it is occurring again and again then it is advisable to complete a course of antacid.
