#asktheexpert, Hi doctor my son Aarush has cold and cough and also fever. Please suggest treatment.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to climate changes around child.
For cold / running nose give syp allegra 5 ml twice daily to the child. (Helps in decreasing running nose and cold)
Prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal congestion and block.
For wet coughing you can give syrup ascoril LS 5ml twice daily to the child
Indirect steam help in decreasing coughing
For fever and pain give paracetamol
Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger honey diluted with water combinxation and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day.
Give warm water to drink.

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy1 Year agoA. hello you can put saline drop and instant rub from babyhug and paracetamol for fever which can help but in regards to the other medicine it is better to check your doctor and she can guide you accordingly which would be better safe and nothing to worry
