Q.

#asktheexpert hi doctor my little girl child have 2 yrs 10 months old was admitted to the hospital because of typhoid for previous month.after that she will loose her weight by 3 kg.now she is only.10kg.and often she have stomach pain.i give her rantac syrup.is there any problem to give the syrup often

A. Hello mom that medicine is basically used for reducing excess acid formation in the body . So try to give only if prescribed otherwise not required, as she is been sick .. so give her some time to recover well , give her good amounts of liquid and then mild flavoured semi solids to soft cooked foods , seasonal fruits and vegetables, juices or coconut ware etc , soups etc
