Q.

#AskTheExpert Hi doctor my daughter is one year old and has 101.5 fever. I have given calpol one dose year night but still remind the same. kindly advise.

A. Visit doctor if fever not gone

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamidc acid preparations. coldx sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

A. Hi mom. Viral fever can take 3-5 days to subside. So no need to worry. Repeat the dose after five six hours if fever comes again. If no other symptoms then no need to worry. Take care
