Q.

#AskTheExpert Hi Doctor. My daughter is 3.5 year old. She is currently having cough which is severe for a short period of time, only morning and evening. She has been having it for past one week. I would like to know if this is a viral cough infection and if so how long will it take to cure?

A. Viral coughs most often last for 2 to 3 weeks. Sometimes, your child will cough up lots of phlegm (mucus).
