#AskTheExpert Hi Doctor. my baby is now 11months old. His weight is 9kg, but my friends and family members asking me to get advice from the doctor. because they are saying at this age he should be gain 10 to 11kg... is that correct? please give me a good suggestion.

A. Dear parent, weight of 9 kg is absolutely normal for 11 months old baby. Every baby is different and the weight also varies from baby to baby. Baby’s weight also depends on the birth weight. Baby should double the birth weight by 6 months and triple the birth weight by one year.
