#AskTheExpert Hi Doctor, My baby is a preemie born on the 34th week (16days old). She has a hard time breastfeeding which is why I have to depend on formula milk. I also try to feed her express milk once or twice in a day. But Please tell me how soon will she breastfeed completely?

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician3 years agoA. hi parent it's quite difficult to predict give formual feed feed the baby in sitting and c arm position burp everytime after feeding adequately maintain hydration and keep a track on urine output

yes , initially days with newborns are very hard and so it is common to face this problem.
but please don't give up easily.
try breastfeeding with different feeding positions
like cradle position, cross cradle position
maintain skin to skin Contact while feeding your child.
