Q.

#asktheexpert Hi Doctor, My baby is 66 days old now. I was advised to feed him once in every 2 to 3 hours for first 2 months. Should I continue to feed him in the same time interval or as per his demand. I am asking this because his sleep cycle has changed now compared to first 2 months. He is sleeping for 4 to 5 hours at a stretch for last 2 weeks. But I am waking him up every 2 hours to feed him. So I am a bit concerned if I am disturbing his sleep. So please let me know if I should feed him as per his demand or every 2 to 3 hours.

A. hi yes it would be better to offer demand feeds please don't wake up your baby, just ensure that baby should get enough milk, having enough weight and passes urine at least 7 or 8 times in a day
