#AskTheExpert Hi Doc, my son is 4.5 yrs now and for the past few days he had cough almost everyday. He doesn't cough regularly and no other issues like fever etc but i have noticed that he cough for sometime in a day and it goes off again. I am worried what could be the cause and should I take him to a doctor? please suggest me if there is a simple remedy at home

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor as there may be some associated factor .
As the first line of treatment you can give steam inhalation which hwould be helpful .
Cough Syp should be given only after a proper evaltuation .
