Q.

#asktheexpert Hi Do mother’s constipation affect baby if baby is breastfeeding? I am having the same and today i noticed my 2 month old baby putting pressure while passing stool? Please help

A. the constipation in mother will not affect the child. also the diet of the mother will not have any side effects on the child. it is very normal that small children will strain while passing urine and stool

A. no it doesn't affect so direct ly at all it s absolutely normal for a baby to not pass motion daily . Baby diet till one year is basically milk so even if baby does not pass stool for upto 1 week it s considered a normal thing
