Q.

#AskTheExpert hi 2 months before my son fell down and got 4 stitches on forehead too visible.. plz suggest something to recover the scar .. plz see pic for reference

A. Oils, such as vitamin E oil, gels such as aloe vera, and lotions, such as Eucerine®, Aquaphor®, or Mederma®, are moisturizing and can be used to help soften the scar and make scar massage easier. Avoid using lotions with strong fragrances. Your child may also be given special tape with silicone on it.Dermatix® Ultra Kids works best on fresh scars that are less than 2 years old. For best results, apply as soon as the wound has healed. This will allow its active ingredients – CPX and Vitamin C ester – to start working on the scar, as soon as possible.
