#asktheexpert hello sir my son is age of 11 and he is 44 kg weight and 4”7 inches of height, I observing that he is having very dark elbow knees and backside of neck but rest he is very fair, is this condition called aconthosis nigricans which is due to insulin resistance in body? Can a child also have this problem?

A. hi well, usually it happens because of skin folds or heat sweating there or exposure to light so I would suggest to gently rub pure aloe vera gel there prefer weather appropriate clothes for your child maintain good hygiene
