ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. You can wait even up to 36 weeks for the baby to move spontaneously but usually if the babies position is transverse the baby won’t move after 37 completed weeks and you will have to go ahead with the surgeryWrite Your Answer Here

If your health care provider determines that your baby is in a transverse lie before labor starts, at week 37 of pregnancy he or she will try to rotate the baby by placing his or her hands on your abdomen and applying pressure (external cephalic version).
