#asktheexpert hello sir my daughter fell from bed, day before yesterday the height of the bed is almost 2ft her forehead hits the floor she got bruises on her head and now her face and eyes is swelen how to cure?? we consult the pediatrician he says nothing to worry about but her swelling is not going away

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with someg analgesic like paracetamol.
Recurrent fall injury for a chhild should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally .
Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .
