#AskTheExpert Hello Sir, my baby is a premie & born at 27 weeks +4 days of pregnancy of my wife. she is in NICU for 45 days and currently in KMC. today is 48th day with eight of 1320gms. Is it good to discharge the baby now ? she is taking spoon feeding & my doctor's not suggested mother's direct milk until at a weight of 1.8kgs

Hello father as per the progress it’s good .. but it would be ideal to follow the doctor advice as he is been monitoring the baby .. if the mother is able to produce milk you may feed .. as the baby is too small may be he won’t be able to latch you can try to pump your milk and feed . Otherwise continue with formula
