#AskTheExpert hello sir, My baby girl frequently getting cold nowadays.ahe is 1 month old,what kind of food I should give to her for better relief.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done tand according to the type of cough its prescribed.gv
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

as a child is one month old ,there is no need of any food items.
please provide breasfeeding only
it contains antibodies which help your child to fight against viral or bacterial Infections
dress your child in weather appropriate clothes
give indirect steam inhalation.
