#asktheexpert hello sir my baby boy is 5 months 7 days old. he used to go motion for every 4-5 days. 2 days back we've done his rice feeding ceremony, is it normal for 4-5 days or do we need to consult a doctor

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician3 years agoA. it's normal to notice such changes post weaning Start weaning foods by 6 month of age start with basic fruit purees like apple banana purees add more fruits and vegetables in the diet add dry fruits powder in the diet maintain hygiene in the area clean with Luke warm water maintain hydration

Constipation is common in breast feed babies
Babies can go without poop for 5-6 days altogether and even more.
If ur baby is active and comfortable otherwise, accepting feeds then no need to worry.
