#AskTheExpert hello my son is 5 yrs old last two his body always becomes hot when we check temperature it shows 98 or 99 sometimes 100..wat it means is it fever or due to hot weather?

A. If you taken temperature correct method with thermometer it is less than 100 degrees F it's normal . otherwise is considered as de er, give him lots of fluids. tc

A. In medical books, fever is a body temperature equal to or higher than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. Many pediatricians, however, consider 101 degrees Fahrenheit or higher as the definition of fever once your child is older than 2 months of age.
