#AskTheExpert Hello, my daughter suffers from fever and cough frequently. I'm very tensed about this. She recovers after medication and again after 2 weeks or so she gets fever and cough. Why is this happening?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection okor seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is giyven.
along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given.
steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.

I would suggest you to get a blood test done for your child because if your child is having fever constantly along with cough then it could be due to tonsils also throat infection also but it’s better to have a blood test to have a better clarity on the situation
