#asktheexpert hello my daughter is 8.5 months now her head circumstances is 40 cm ... is that problem of having such low circumstances

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician4 years agoA. hi your baby is 8.5 months old now at this age average head circumference should be around 42-45 cms.baby head circumference is slightly lower it could be indicative of some systematic disroder but it could be normal according to family genetic

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr 2 m old girl4 years agoA. Hi dear good morning nothing to worry about it much. It will usually get back to shape. Try to feed for longer duration. 15-20 mins each breast. This way baby will get balanced foremilk and hind milk. Foremilk comes in the beginning for 5-10 mins then comes the hind milk which is rich in fats and can help baby gain weight. So always empty a breast each
