#AskTheExpert Hello My daughter is 2.6 years old and she frequently experiences nose blockage and finds difficulty to breath when she sleeps . She does not have any congestion in chest .she gets running nose when she cry other than that she doesn’t have any cold or cough .

Dr Sameer awadhiyaFather of a 12 yr 2 m old boy4 years agoA. child having some chest congestion with difficulty in breathing if the baby is having cough and cold it is advisable to give indirect steam inhalation to the child it is very help you and then get a proper examination done by your doctor to rule out the cause

Make her wear simple mask when shes out.(no need if she's running or playing some games)
Don't.expose her to winds , air blows and dirt dust.
Keep a bowl full of chopped onions near her bed approx three feet far overnight
Take sunbath daily with her head and ears covered
Home steam machine can be used from safe distance
