Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello my daughter is 14 months old now .her gums were slightly swollen for lower two teeth from 8 months but till now she dint have teeth. I'm giving her calcium supplements also . what could be the reason for delay teething. does it mean poor nutrition. my doc said to wait till 16 months but I'm so worried.

A. Hi if you're seeing signs of teething then gently massage the gum pad area with clean finger tip or moist cold cotton cloth 3-4 times a day, this will increase the blood circulation and hasten the eruption process

A. hello mam do not worry about this. your doctor is right you can wait till the age of 16-18 months. massage the gums with clean cotton cloth 3-4 times a day.
