#AskTheExpert Hello, my daughter had flu and viral fever. She was admitted in the hospital and now jer fever and cold are gone. little coughing is still there and it sounds she has congestion still. We are nebulizing properly and giving medicine as prescribed. is there anything we can do to remove that congestion from her chest. any home remedy would be beneficial here or shall I strictly follow doctor's order.

A. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appjietite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given. along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given. steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.
