POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy10 months agoA. It's normal for some babies to have very little hair at 2 months old, as hair growth varies widely from baby to baby. Many babies are born with little or no hair, and it may take several months for their hair to start growing. By the time they reach 6 months to a year, most babies experience some hair growth, although it can still be sparse or patchy for some time.
As for the vomiting after feeding, this is also quite common in young babies, especially in the first few months. It can happen due to a variety of reasons, including:
1. Overfeeding: If the baby is fed too much milk at once, it may cause her to spit up or vomit.
2. Immature Digestive System: Babies have immature stomachs and digestive systems, which can lead to some reflux or regurgitation after feeds.
3. Burping: Sometimes, babies don't burp properly after a feed, and trapped air in the stomach can cause discomfort and vomiting.
4. Positioning During Feeding: If your baby is lying down flat while feeding, the milk can flow back into the esophagus, causing spitting up or vomiting.
Here are a few tips to help manage these issues:
Feed smaller amounts more frequently: This can reduce the chances of overfeeding and reduce vomiting.
Burp your baby: After every feed, gently burp your baby to release any trapped air. This can help reduce discomfort and prevent vomiting.
Keep the baby upright: After feeding, hold your baby upright for about 20-30 minutes to help with digestion and minimize the risk of reflux.
Avoid tight clothing: Make sure your baby's clothes aren't too tight around her stomach, as this can cause discomfort.
If the vomiting persists, is forceful, or is accompanied by other symptoms like poor weight gain, dehydration, or fever, it is important to consult your pediatrician to rule out any underlying issues such as reflux or allergies.
Regarding hair growth, if you have concerns, it’s always a good idea to consult your pediatrician, but in most cases, hair growth will improve with time.
