Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello! my 9 month old is suffering from cold and cough with slight fever. He is vomiting mucus too and also having slimy loose motions. For fever I've given him paracetamol but it's not reducing. What should I do? What medicines should I give him or should I consult a doctor?

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the casegs along with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold In viral illness there cyan be cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .
