#AskTheExpert hello mam i am on my 8week, but my dr didnt suggest me any folic acid or vitamins...can u guide me on this...is it too early to take supplements ??

A. The recommended period is 3 months before pregnancy and the first 3 months afterwards. Folic acid supplements should be continued 12 weeks into the pregnancy to prevent a range of neural tube defects. Please get in touch with your doctor for the same.
