#AskTheExpert Hello Mam I am 39weeks pregnant and still the cervix is closed, It's my first baby. There are two loops of umbilical cord around baby's neck. AFI is 7-8cms. baby's Doppler is fine, FHR is around 138. My gynaecologist suggested to plan the delivery. Please suggest what should we do. when the cervix gets dilated, shall we wait for labour.

ExpertDr.Deepinder Kaur DhawanObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. normal delivery can't happen in this case. better opt for a C-section. take iron calcium and multivitamin regularly and protein powder with milk twice a day and do as advised by your doctor
