A. Ensure a comfortable breastfeeding position for both you and your baby. Hold your baby close with their nose level with your nipple. Wait for your baby to open their mouth wide, then bring them quickly to latch onto the breast, ensuring their lips are flanged outward. Aim the nipple toward the roof of their mouth. Check for a deep latch with their mouth covering a large portion of the areola, not just the nipple. If needed, break the latch gently and try again. Seek help from a lactation consultant if you encounter persistent issues.
