Q.

#asktheexpert Hello Dr, my son is almost turning 14 months but is yet to start walking by himself. He walks by holding our finger but as soon as we leave the finger, he promptly sits down. What should we do to take the fear out of him so he can confidently walk by self? Thanks!

A. nhvc. if there is no relief it is better you see your doctor for proper examination particularly physical examination if there is need for doing investigations to find out the problem and treatment ok

A. walking with support will come any time between 9 months to 15 months of age. walking without support will come maximum by 18 months of age so before thxat there is no need to worry and you have to just continue regular diet of the child( food made from cereals pulses fruits veggies milk) as well as baby massage and regular massage will also help in improving the muscle strength which will help in walking. regular encouragement for the child to walk
