#AskTheExpert Hello Dr my daughter is just 10day old and she has a discharge of gel type from her private part .Is this normal and today I saw it in blood with gel as it happens for women. please advise

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. Hello dear parent It is normal for a new born baby to have red color discharge and the bleeding May come from the vagina also. You need not worry as this happens due to maternal hormonal influence on the vaginal tract of the baby

NikithaMom of 2 children3 years agoA. hello discharge thro vagina in baby 8s normal but if more or foul smelling then it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better and aso safe too
