#asktheexpert hello Dr. my child(98days old) has 2 holes PFO , VSD and also has situs totalis inversus with dextrocardia. my doctor has recommended to give furoped to her. she sleeps long hours( 6hours continuously, day time and also at night) after giving the syrup. is it due to syrup or is it normal for her age.pls advice

A. Hello ma’am What are you can sleep for about 15 to 18 hours or maybe 20 hours in a day till the age of 3 to 4 months because infants can sleep like this only so do not worry about it. But still if you have any doubt relating to the medicine then you can discuss with your doctor for a better understanding
