#asktheexpert Hello Dr. My baby is just 2 year old. She has calcium defeciency. so the teeth is decaying. pls suggest some calcium rich food to prevent this decaying. Thanks.

A. Tooth decay is not because of calcium deficiency . It is because of lack of good oral hygiene. You must visit a pediatric dentist for an evaluation and get the decayed teeth treated .

Hi mom Maintain hydration Give three meal and two snacks including seasonal fruits vegetables cereals pulses whole grains milk products Take a good care of your baby Offer different varieties of food Give osteocalcium tablet Consult with your doctor or dentist once for proper medical examination and treatment Avoid sweets and chocolate
