#Asktheexpert Hello Dr. my baby is 9 months old and his hb level is 7.2 gm . Does his hb in normal range or need any medications ?

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children2 years agoA. it's very less it is important to find out the reason of anaemia by doing peripheral smear. There can be lot of individual variation in the problem sometimes there is need to do physical examination and if required for investigations also to come to the diagnosis and give appropriate advice ok

It is actually very low average is about nine or 10 and the standard that one should maintain is about 12 so currently this is very less I would suggest you to check with your doctor start with an iron supplement for the child and all kind of food and fruits which are rich in iron
