#AskTheExpert hello dr. My baby is 9 months old and her weight has not increased in 2 months at all. her current weight is 5.6 kg. and born weight was 2.2 kg. Although she is very active but am really worried about her weight. Can you please suggest anything that can be done for weight gain

A. Dear parent, it’s good that your baby is active. For healthy weight gain, give 3 to 4 meals a day and up to three fourth katori every time. Breastfeed in between. You should give a homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. Use full cream milk to prepare recipes like porridge, kheer and give as milk products like curd, paneer, cheese. You can give eggs and non veg foods. Add powdered nuts like almonds to baby’s food. Add ghee to every meal.

A. hello dear mom, u cn give home made food. plan 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. b.fast mai kuch porridge then fruit, lunch mai khichdi ya dal chawal or dhaliya aisa kuch again a fruit or kheer as evng snacks and dinner mai again u cn gv khichdi, dal chawal and the like.
