1. Increase Fiber in Diet Offer fiber-rich fruits like papaya, pear, prune, apple (with skin), and banana (ripe, not raw). Vegetables: Give soft-cooked carrots, spinach, and sweet potatoes. Whole Grains: Oats, multigrain porridge, and whole wheat roti. 2. Hydration is Key Encourage water intake (small sips throughout the day). Offer coconut water, buttermilk, and diluted fresh fruit juices. 3. Healthy Fats Help Ghee: Add 1/2 teaspoon to food. Soaked raisins or figs: Mash and mix with milk or porridge. 4. Massage & Exercise Gently massage the baby’s tummy in a clockwise direction. Allow plenty of tummy time and encourage crawling/walking to help digestion. 5. Avoid Constipating Foods Too much milk (limit to 2 cups/day). Excess biscuits, white bread, and processed food. When to See a Doctor? If constipation lasts more than 4-5 days.
