A. hello,
this worked like a miracle for my baby for gas.
take deep spoon, add water and hing(asafoetida) to it and heat the water to make a thin paste of hing.
now cool it a little and check the temperature while its still a little warm apply this paste AROUND the belly button not in.
also if you are sure it's gas try making your lo let out gas by moving his legs in cycling motions, and pressing his thighs to his tummy like the grannys do while massaging the baby.
you should also check what your feeding the baby maybe he/she is not adapting to it.
also NEVER ever ever forget burping the baby after feeding i kno its a hassle and sometimes a bit messy but its for their good and your peace of night.
Additionally please also check if the baby is uncomfortable due to something else as well. It could be a different problem altogether.
Take heart parent this is the tough part after a few days both of you will learn to communicate better.
hope this helps.

A. sleeping pattern in small children changes from time to time but will improve with increasing age of the child
you have to just see for any environmental factor which is affecting the sleep like temperature variations as well as the child might be having some digestion problem or breathing difficulty due to nasal blockage has to be looked into.
if the growth of the child is proper do not worry much about the sleepingx pattern of the child as it always improve with time
you can increase the physical activity during the daytime as well as avoid more sleeping time during the day time and this will help in improving the night time sleeping time
