Q.

#AskTheExpert hello doctor my son riyansh he is 2yrs nine months old he is not speaking yet... he will talk only few words like mumma pappa bhayya give take bye thank you sorry thats it... is it normal and he tells all the alphabets and numbers he learnt them by himself...

A. for proper fluent speech ,you need to wait and watch till 3 years of age of the child to speak in complete sentences clearly and fluently. if its not so then consult the available pediatrician/doctor to know if speech therapy is required.till that time keep interacting as much as possible in your spoken language and involve the child in language learning activities using audio-visual aids too. dont worry if other milestones are normal this wilj lll also be achieved in time at times it may get delayed..there are variations in children by age for this. . .

A. Hello mom Baby is speaking few words but not properly then in such case you should definitely join a speech therapy it will help in improving baby is speaking skills. But if your baby is not speaking a single word than in such case you have to consult with your doctor about it
