Q.

#asktheexpert hello doctor my son is 9 months old, he have low blood count.. which food helps to improve blood count. can you please suggest any food?

A. regular home diet it is advisable to continue the regular homemade food diet for the child during illness and it should not be heavy as well as avoid any type of packet food biscuit maida which may increase more gas formation and indigestion and give plenty of fluids water lime water and juice extracted from fruits as well as curd and butter milk for proper digestion of the food. if the child is consuming 60 to 70% of the regular diet then also it is fine

Give spinach and beetroot every day to the child without fail one time each you can give apart from that sweet potato spinach black rice broccoli and another green leafy vegetables are very healthy instead of sugar if you give jaggery that is also highly rich in iron and vitamin vitamins to be given
