#asktheexpert hello doctor...my daughter is having fever from last approx 1 month...all the tests have been done but nothing came..all fever related tests have been done..after that doc said it must be typhoid only...and started antibiotics and paracetamol and probiotic meds for 10 days ...the fever came down and for 4-5 days it did not come but yesterday again 99 fever came...today is the 10th day of meds..she is having teething issues but doc said in teething temp would not go above 100....plz suggest something...what do u think can be the probable cause ...

Fever is  when  the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations.
cold sponging of the whole body with tap water gcan be beneficial tohgo to bring the temperature down .

If she s teething then teething symptoms are few like excessive drooling, swollen gums, loss of appetite, Motions, Putting everything to mouth, rash around the mouth area. Irritability, ear pulling, biting. You may give some teethers to ease bbay from pian. But regardso fever take care
