#asktheexpert Hello doctor. My baby is admitted for his urine infection and he has been given meropenem and amikacin antibiotic together. Bit in his urine culture report the meropenem came as resistant and the amikacyn came as sensitive. still they are giving meropenem and amikacyn together. will it clear his infection?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. yes its needed. it is important to follow the instructions and medicines course given by your doctor for the problem . they are safe if given by registered medical practitioner. take a follow up in few days if it is not improving for need of treatment modification
