#asktheexpert hello doctor..my baby is 6months 20days old..can I continue calcium and iron tablets or I have to stop?

A. if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to give any health supplements oxr calcium or multivitamins to the child but if it is less than your doctor will examine and according to the deficiency the doctor will give medicine and tell till what time a supplement needs to be continxued. but it is at the same time advisable to go natural by giving diet as per age of the child which contains all the important nutrients and supplements. usually you have to give only iron and vitamin d supplements to the child but that also in maintenance dosage and not as a deficiency dosage after medical consultation.

A. Hello there, please do not worry about it too much. You can stop giving the supplements to the baby. Please give semi solid food items like banana and mashed potatoes and mashed apples to the baby. Also give suji kheer and daal paani to the baby. Start giving formula milk to the baby.
