#asktheexpert Hello Doctor, My baby is 5 weeks old, I have a query that I don't understand whether his stomach is full or no. he keeps on sucking for hours, He stops in between and again keeps feeding. How do I know that his stomach is full?

One of the best ways is to observe the weight gain progress monthly weight gain is expected in the range of 400 gm to 1 kg and by age of 4 to 6 months they almost double their birth weight
You can also observe that you feel a fullness in your breast after every feed and by the time feeding is done the breast feels light
