#asktheexpert hello doctor. my baby is 5 months 7days old now. I would like to know that is pneumococcal vaccine is necessary for my baby? bcz this vaccine is not supplied in gov't hospitals.

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 5 months old and if you are going to give him PCV vaccinations to protect him from serious disease like pneumonia but it’s bit costly and available at private hospital only

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. hello pneumococcal vaccination that is pcv is very important t be given for the child and it is not covered under the government vaccination.. it would be better to get it done and it is one of the IAP recommended vaccinations that as to be given for the child
